We purchased a Persimmon Home in 2005 - new build. No end of problems from water - every tap has leaked - and 3 radiators too. Had big problem with the ballcock too. We are on a water meter ball cock problem resulted in overflow of load of water - rather expensive!Boiler and heating problems too - had a leak in 2010 - through the kitchen - claimed through our home insurance - later found out that leak due to a nail being nailed into the bath frame via the cold water pipe! Heating - after the leak - the heating wouldn't work - Service contract with British Gas - faulty system - got sludge in it. The plumber send for the leak problem by my insurance company said - faulty system - sludge in it. Guess what - Persimmon - as we have an 'old' house (only 5 year old) - not their problem..........Boiler - digital clock has broken down three time in the last 18 months - currently have a service contract with Briish Gas - they have refused to replace it again without giving me a charge as the flue Persimmon installed is faulty - it's pointing upwards, which in severe rain (I live in a rainy area) is making it short out. Seen now as a fire risk.Cement - Why have I got missing cememnt in the birck work? I thought it was for ventilation?? Not sure if this is true as the fascias have ventilation too.
