"I would like to make it clear that I have now agreed a resolution to outstanding matters with Bovis Homes in respect of my home. This resolution includes the completion of some works by Bovis Homes, which I confirm was always their intention, and contribution by Bovis Homes towards the value of some other areas of work which we have mutually agreed will not be completed. The principles of this resolution were being discussed by Bovis Homes with me
prior to any media coverage. The resolution now agreed has
not been as a result of such media coverage.
I would also like to point out that national newspaper coverage of this matter was made without my consent and I would like to withdraw my comment that ‘Bovis Homes is incapable of building quality homes.’
Bovis Homes has asked that I publish the following statement on its behalf.
“Bovis Homes would like to make it clear that it categorically refutes allegations previously made on this website about its reputation and business.
Allegations made in the Daily Mail were of ‘botched jobs’ and ‘major’ faults, while the Daily Telegraph referred to ‘botched jobs’ and ‘poor workmanship’. Bovis Homes would like to make it clear that these statements are quite untrue and factually incorrect.
Prior to any media coverage Bovis Homes had been liaising with Mr Bottali to agree an appropriate resolution on a number of outstanding matters. The principles of this resolution were being established with Mr Bottali at the time of the unauthorised press coverage. Bovis Homes confirms that the detail of the resolution agreed is based on the principles already established, with much of the detail consistent with previous offers of resolution made to Mr Bottali which he initially refused.”
