Persimmon land shortage

Can anyone help with our problem, in January we reserved a Persimmon Home in Rotherham, we part exchanged our current home, we were supposed to exchange contract with Persimmon however our solicitor did not exchange as she found out that the land our plot is on is not actually owned by Persimmon they had built the plot hoping the purchase of the land would go through before the deal got to exchange contract stage, Persimmon are still negotiating to buy the land and we are in limbo, Persimmon have now sold our current home although we are still living in it, we have asked for our money back but have been told no as we have paid for extras to be put into the house. We are constantly bugging Persimmon for updates on the situation only to be told that all managers are out or in meetings and only once has someone actually returned our phone call, we are now really desparate to get this sorted but do not know where to turn as we seem to have no rights at all, can anyone point us in the right direction or know anyone we can contact to help us.

They are selling plots that they do not even own!!!! I am sure you solicitor will be able to sort this out. I know some people that have had to take developers to court and used a good lawyer. I'll try to get the contact details for you.
