Large Report to Follow very soon. In the meantime think again about buying BETT.

CST,

I would be very interested in seeing your report particularly if there are any structural defects. I assume you are dealing with the Stirling Customer Care office, Castle Business Park - God help you!

Colin I will try and get my report up for next week but to give you a laugh over the weekend I will tell you the state of my house just now. not even been in the house 5 months yet.

Had a bad leak from the taps into the bath which has flooded carpets and seeped through into kitchen, utility, downstairs toilet and living roof ceilings and Bett turn round and say Nothing to do with us & making me claim through my own insurance company!

Floor boards when we moved in were at different heights the way they solved it was plaining them to meet level!

They were desperate to get the money and rushed the house to get us in, we took ownership of the house on Xmas eve the day the house was signed over the workmen were still in. anyway i will have a full report but next wek on this - it will take too long to do it today.

i am collecting my car today from the garage after i had ripped the bumper and dented the sill trying to get into my drive. Have been told they wont build it up because they'll have to dig it out again when they come to tar it but 2 days later build all the other neighbours ramps up with tar and leave mines?????

CST

Have you had any joy yet?

Are you still waiting on your snagging items being done?

Or have they beaten you into submission?

Sorry Colin been so busy at work but what do you think the answer to your question is???

No is the answer and they were supposed to come AGAIN to do plaster work/Silicon work/fititng a new hinge to the window because the window fitter forgot one ??/ Repair to a sand stone sill/fix the trampalene i mean floor boards at the top of the stairs oh and to fix the pato door that the forman broke in MARCH but informed me at 5pm tonight there not coming because i wont be here despite them being told 2 weeks ago I wont be here!

I promise i will put all snagging issues on soon to let people know what they should be looking for.

I was also told by there customer service rep on the phone she didnt want to hear the old news i.e when i was bringing up all the times i have taken off work to find Bett Homes not appearing.

CST how are you getting on with your dealings with Bett Homes, or 'Gladedale' as they are now calling themselves?

New name, same old shit, I wonder?????? Picture to follow! And before they set the legal dogs on me - it wasn't me who did it, it was another disgruntled Bett Homes (Gladedale) customer. I merely took a photo of the sign board in the passing (over a number of months) because I though it was quite apt. “All about you” SHIT – you need to see the photo. I believe it has been taken down now but it was there for quite some time. At least it was taken down because many of their sign boards get blown down due to poor construction - ahhhhh there is a thread developing here. Would love to know who did it though because I am sure they will have many of the same faults I do, and perhaps some more they don't know about.

The customer service rep you have dealt with - was it Helen Webb? I have posted previously the absolute howler she spouted to me a while back, but I will repeat it again. She told me that my boundary fence “HAD BEEN REPAIRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NHBC STANDARDS”. There are no NHBC standards relating to boundary fences, this has been confirmed by the NHBC themselves. And as John Croal, also of Bett Homes customer care department (Ha! Ha!), said 'THE NHBC STANDARDS ARE GUIDANCE ONLY, SO IT DOESN’T MATTER'.

Have you met the Goldfish yet?
