    Hi Clare,

I think you have made the right choice. However, buying a new build is a bit of a lottery whoever you buy from. They are little more than brands and use the same contractors/sub-contractors and have few of their own staff. Sorry to be a downer.

Yeah, i understand that all house builders have a law of their own and after a lot of reading on motions looking to change this, a change still has never happened and i dare say wont be happening any time soon. All i'm saying is its a clean slate and it is still the apartment i wanted, in the location i wanted (this is the major attraction to this development). At least this company (at the moment) are answering my calls, unlike Bett who really dont like me partly because I have 'several times chosen to try and damage the reputation of Bett Homes in the media' (Quote from Trisha Malek - Sales Director) I no longer want anything to do with Bett and i'm sure that they will be glad to see the back of me too as i have been a huge torn in their side. Perhaps they shouldn't treat their customer like something they stood in, and i am not the only one of that opinion. It's a shame really cuz they may now have trouble selling the remaining plots (thanks P & J ) ... Swings and Roundabouts.

Also thanks for your advise Tony...

    Hi Clare, happy to help.

I am not sure that you can damage the reputation of Bett Homes as that would suggest they had a good one to start with. I am not sure that this is the case.

    Hi Clare,

Sorry to hear you have decided to withdraw but hopefully you will have more luck elsewhere and still manage to get the location you desire. We are having no more luck with getting any information and I had to laugh when I saw you refer to Tricia Malek as she is the person who appears to be evading all my calls and messages. Also I think Bett homes are doing a good job all by themselves of damaging their reputation!

    All the best,

    Ashley

    hi again,
Yeah Trisha- she doesnt like me... she will never take calls and knows sweet FA about construction. I would keep fighting them if you want to stick with the property. Out of interest, have they given you the option to pull out? I had been denied any more information than 'we are carrying out investigations' as i 'had not paid for the property yet'. I've bought somewhere else now and due to more in july/aug. I would really recommend contacting the P&J... Bett dont like it and it is a good way to get something- anything out of them.
How are you getting on with anne at the sale office?... :S
I would agree, Bett homes have a terrible rep and i wish i'd known that sooner... I hear they have sold the show flat- I'm interested to see how much they market the one i was buying, will prob bump the price up, well it does come with a built in water feature...
keep in touch and let me now how you get on.

    Exclamation Update

Just a small update- As i have now resiled from my contract with (a bad) Bett I do not get any info, although not much different from when we were in contract. However, I drove past the development and both blocks are covered with scaffolding and tarpolin (there is still ppl living in there and theres A LOT of money hidden under that tent). Although they do look like they're 'trying' fixing it, some pointing has been removed from the brick work. This is part of the solution the residents put to them last year!!

Thats all i can see, dont know any of the details. If there is anyone on here involved and would be kind enough to give a further update on any resolutions, please do.

    Thanks

    Clare
