Default Help! So angry re completion!

Hello1

've just discovered this fab site, wish I had seen it sooner!

I wonder if anyone would have any advice?

We were due to complete on a new home on 3rd October. I'm self employed and have not taken any bookings for that week. I've also arranged BT, Sky, carpets etc. The bulders have rung to say Anglian water cant get water in for up to 10 days and they cant serve notice until its in.

They are now offering 10th October, a week later.

Where do I stand?

Is there anything I can do?

Ready to crawl into a corner and cry at the moment

This is really common unfortunately. If they have served notice you will be entiteld to liquidated damages , otherwise... Kick up a fuss and see what happens.

Thanks for the reply Tony

I have calmed down a little now and am going to speak to my solicitor in the morning and then go to the site office.

I wouldn't mind so much but we were told the house would be ready in May/ June!
