Persimmon Homes - My Neighbour from Hell

The land next to my property boundary has eroded over the years (my property is higher than my neighbours). Where once we hade a fence on flat ground and beyond the fence the land fell away to a stream, we now have the fence hanging in mid-air due to the collapse of the banking on my neighbours property. Unfortunately my neighbour is the house builder Persimmon Homes and after trying to talk to them for over 12 months they now claim not to be liable – despite admitting responsibility and rebuilding the banking at the property next-door. I have used the legal services provided by my insurance company but they are more difficult to deal with than Persimmon!



I cannot rebuild the bank myself as it is on land owned by Persimmon Homes – How can I prevent more of my garden disappearing?

My message is that Persimmon are very big and seem to enjoy stepping on the little guy - think twice before you buy from them

How long have you owned the house?
Is the land eroding into the stream or just from construction? if its eating away at your land then the owner of that property must do some remedial work. I would contact the NHBC for their advice and the council may have something to say to. DO you know why the embankment is being eroded?
