car park being built next to my house

Builders have started to construct their visitors' car park next to my home, at my gable end. I moved in in December. The site development plan has the area the car park is being built on as a grassed area with trees. In fact during the selling process I was told that these trees would be red lime trees. Sounds lovely! A car park doesn't!! Can builders do this, i.e. build a car park for their visitors next to my house where they have indicated on their development plan/brochures there was to be a nice grassed area with pretty trees?!!!!

hmmm probably, if its temporary then they could, you need to speak to the council and enquire about the planning, they could have submitted a replan and not infromed you, happens all the time. Your first call though should be to talk to the sales office again, ask them about it and write everything down. If it is temporary ask how they will prepare the area once the carpark is removed, last thing you want is a compacted soil where nothing will grow except weeds
