Hi! i wish to reiterate the excellent service we have had from our site manager at willow edge. we have been in our new build for 5 months now. we have had a few problems but i firmly believe that you need to have a good relationship with your site manager. you need to be understanding that yours is not the only house they have to look after and realise that somethings that seem urgent to you are not life threattening! just a bit annoying. you need to have some patience. that said, any problems we have had have been sorted within days of them being reported. i definately would buy a new build from persimmon and cannot praise my site manager and his staff enough.
tradesmen are notorious for being slack and we have had quite a bit of slack plumbing. a2 bad leaks into the kitchen and a damaged carpet. the plumber was sacked and our faults have been rectified. please remember we're all human! and so are the site managers. yes it is your new home but if you think all the parts and time involved in building then the law of averages is going to be that its not gonna be 100% perfect. just like with a car. i think its more because new homes have a replutation sometimes of being faulty. if it was a second hand home it would just be something you would have to pay for and sort out and at least you have a team of people who do your snagging and fix it at no cost to you.
