 Hot/cold tap convention/regulation?
I'm in a newish (1997) house and all the pairs of taps in the house except one adhere to the convention of hot tap on left, cold on right. This includes various mixer taps.
However, in the bathroom, the bath taps (but not the sink) are arranged the other way around - the bath taps are a mixer.
I can't say this bothers me personally - I just wonder whether this contravenes some building regulation and could get me into hot water (pun intended) later on and require remedial action if/when I sell the house. Whether or not this is the case, is this a valid "snag"?
Incidentally, I'm in Scotland - so I guess the rules may differ.
